 தென் தமிழகத்தில் அமைந்துள்ள 109 ஆண்டுகள் பழமையான ரயில் பாலம், ராமேஸ்வரம் தீவை பிரதான நிலப்பகுதியுடன் இணைக்கும் பாம்பன் பாலம்.

Pampan Bridge is a railway bridge connecting the city of Mandapam in mainland India with Rameswaram on the island of Pampan. Opened on 24 February 1914, it was India's first sea bridge and was India's longest sea bridge until the opening of the Bandra-Worli sea link in 2010.

2.2 km. The Long Bridge connecting Rameswaram Island and the mainland is India's longest bridge over a bay. It is also known as Pampan Bridge. Similarly, the railway SCISSORS bridge connecting the island is notable for its unique opening for ships to pass through the sea.

Nearest airport is Madurai Airport, 120 km from Ramanathapuram. Another airport at Tuticorin is 145 km from Ramanathapuram.

The railway station is about 1.3 km from Rameswaram Ramanathaswamy Temple.
